lisa DellaPorta: One of my favorite nurseries period, not just in northwest. Family owned, super friendly, and constantly shipping in new plants. Parking can be a little difficult on busy weekend days because it's a small, hidden lot they share with the beer distributor - don't be afraid to street park and walk down the driveway if it's packed. In deep summer they have reduced hours and it can help to call and ask or check their Instagram to see when they'll be open.
kkpsio: and i found a bunch of nice selections that were fairly priced. they also had a fair amount of houseplants, inclusing alocasias and ficus, which was a nice surprise. will definitely be coming here again :-

mindlessbuddha: , especially in smaller specimens. Sometimes their larger plants are priced high, but never shockingly so. If I was looking for a midsized to small plant for my apartment or house in SP or CC, I'd stop by here first before going to the bigbox stores or commercial nurseries. Always worth stopping by.To anyone making comments about plant quality - buying plants is always ON YOU. It's up to YOU to look at the plant thoroughly before buying. It's ridiculous to demand a place be responsible for an infestation you find later or if the plant dies. Look at what you buy! Don't buy a plant that doesn't look healthy and free of pests. Once it leaves their shop, how can they possibly know where a pest came from or if you properly cared for it

Christina Kara: I LOVE this cute little shop. First of all, Chloris & Prase is probably one of the most competitively priced plant stores I've been to in Philadelphia. This past weekend I bought a monstera that could have been priced 2x for its size. I put it in my bedroom on Saturday and it was unfurling a new leaf by the next day, happy and healthy. They have a nice selection of different size and style plants, and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable in finding one to fit your needs. They also have a lot of very cute and stylish candles, planters, candle holders. I got myself a delicate purple glass incense holder and considered some fun tapered candle holders. I will be back soon for more plants and cute ish!
