Neighborhood Bike Works: what do users think?

Jake Jacobs: Cool place!

Michael Murillo Alvarez (Maykillo): Congratulations to the whole team they do an extraordinary job, I really liked the professionalism they perform I left very happy with the repair of my bike. Fair prices and with different options for the customer, they have all kinds of accessories and spare parts. You have a new customer100% recommended by @maykillo34+++++++Congratulations to the entire team, they do an extraordinary job, I really liked the professionalism they did, I was very happy with the repair of my bicycle. Vanilla Goodness: Today was my first visit to this shop. This place is the real deal. Selling used bicycles for the charity that they support. Absolutely fantastic inventory. And the manager today is very cool. I picked up a 1989 Schwinn race bike. Campy drive and front wheel. Mavic rear wheel. Campy crankset. Italian saddle. In 1989 this would have been used for racing. Without a doubt a classic high end bike, spec'd out with only the best components. It's a lightweight steel frame. I only had two slight adjustments to make and she is ready to ride. The shop is the type of place where I will probably return to.I highly recommend this bike shop.

Nick R: I attended the Bike Church and I felt immensely supported in a repair that I knew basically nothing about. Having been to other “bike churches” in similar pinches I can say that this is one of the better ones. I think offerings like this are some of the most important and amazing gifts in the world.I highly recommend 🤙

Samuel Durham: Cool guys and great place to donate a bike. They are doing great work for the Philadelphia community.

Bayley Vanderpoel: DIY night, aka Bike Church, is educational, affordable, and fun! I came to get my tires pumped and decided to stay to volunteer. All the volunteers were really nice and they even invited me out afterwards for a couple drinks. Thanks Jerry, Pete, & Mark! I’ll drop by again next time I’m in Philly!

Via Bicycle: what do users think?

phil bouska: Absolutely great so helpful and affordable

Ryan Reese: Brought my bike in the Saturday afternoon with a busted chain and a bent spoke, had it back a few hours later; as good as new with a couple of nice extra touches 👍 Friendly service, attention to detail, and a good price too!

Jay Shifman: It's the best place in town to get your bike worked on. The owner has forgotten more today about bikes than I'll ever know. They give it the close inspection and love that I don't see anywhere else. It's cash only and you'll probably have to wait a minute because they're popular but it's worth it.

Jerry Cruz: Amazing collection of bikes and bike parts. Kind and friendly owner.

Todd Babcock: is. I highly recommend Via for all help with your bike.

Joe Summers: Curtis is the best

Christian Cancino: Very knowledgeable staff providing great service at a great price what else is not to love, these local bike shops are a real treasure.

Jeremiah Williams: This was where I bought my road bike like back in 2018. Last year I rode about 1400 miles on it and this year, approaching 1000. But anyways, great deals on bikes and parts. They do great repair work too. They're only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, but quality of the work they do is awesome and you learn something about the parts of your bike too. I was able to get a replacement rack quickly and I put it on the bike successfully after removing one that broke.

Michelle Cunningham: Yooooooo! This place is awesome...very good customer service and bicycleknowledge and SKILLS. I am so happy they're here in Philly!!

Luke: they let me eat their onion rings

Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe: what do users think?

Tejung Gloria Li: and the bagels were chewy and delicious!Espresso was meh but everything bagel with egg and cheese was on point 🏻 🏻 🏻

Laura Hetzel: .

Julia Prause: Super friendly, good advice on the service we needed. Reasonable prices. Very happy with the quality of work.

Robby T: Café stuff is super cheap compared to other nearby places, bike shop is very helpful and they will always work with you. Especially Carl and Rachel. Friendly people!!

Sandy Nixon: Great place for coffee and bike repair

Saunders Robinson: Henry the owner always repairs our Thule stroller and helped rewrapped our handlebar. Not to mention great iced coffee and bahn mi and a good community vibe.

Nicholas Ehr: Kayuh is the real deal. This is my weekend pit stop on the way to the wiss/SRT from South Philly for a quick refuel. The baristas and mechanics both have really genuine customer service. I went to four other shops to try and get a stuck pedal removed, none could help until Kayuh. Got my bike tuned up in the process and it’s running smooth! Recently went on a very welcoming group ride with the shop owner and met some new friends! Make sure to grab a Thai Iced Tea while you’re there.

Saundra Ali: They are the best

Makel Lowe: I like this place the price was very reasonable for the repair that I got done and they were pretty fast I will definitely be back for any future repairs and if I want to add any accessories 👍👍

Eustace Daniyan: I thought my wife's bike needed inner tubes and the guy was honest enough to tell me it just needed air, he even adjusted the seat and realigned the chain. He did all this as a courtesy! Much appreciated. I will come back here for any repairs.

Jeremiah B: Great

Trek Bicycle Philadelphia Center City: what do users think?

Bren Ahearn: Shon and Drew gave great service in the front of the house, and the people on the back were great at getting the bike all set up. Drew listened to what my needs were, and he suggested a bike that would be a better fit than the one I had thought that I wanted. Likewise, Shon completed the transaction and was very attentive throughout the whole process. Thanks to everyone!Updated 4/8/2024. Great service with fast turnaround for a flat. Also, they gave me an estimate before they started the job. Everyone is friendly. This is why I keep coming back.

Mike Wendell: Trek Bikes Philadelphia is great, everyone is friendly and helpful. They always have the part I need in stock.

Liz Kennedy Bradley: The best place to go if you want advice about buying a bike but aren't sure where to start. Great customer service.

Joanne K: Went in for a pair of cycling shoes. Staff was very helpful and it didn’t hurt that the shoes were on sale at 75% off. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was only in town for a meeting, I’d have purchased a bike too!

Preston Gaskill: Great help

Andrew Mead: The staff has always been helpful and their service team is 👍👍

Tim Barber: Great products with very well informed friendly and knowledgeable staff , you won’t go wrong here .

Philadelphia Bikesmith: what do users think?

Niya Torres: I'll definitely be back for a tuneup sometime.

Stan Horwitz: The staff at the Philadelphia Bikesmith are all first rate. The quality of their work, their prices, and their amiable customer service are fantastic! I am a bike commuter and I rely on my bike heavily. The Philadelphia Bikesmith is my go to for bike maintenance and repairs.

Ruben Sandoval: I'm a city road bike commuter, and I brought my bike for a tune up, it was having noticeable performance issues building up. From the gear shifters and derailleurs, old handlebar tape, my seat post, and insufficient tire inflation. The technician, David was there to help bring my bike back to its former glory. He gave it his evaluation and needed a day to get it done. Boy am I glad I gave it time. I'm back on the bike paths and the bike is way faster than I thought possible. I didn't think my commute times could get any faster but whooooo, I feel like I am gliding now. Definitely recommend asking for your future bike services here.

Craig Meritz: Excellent mechanics, Wheel builders & Bicycle enthusiasts.

John Fleming: They did a quick and great job fixing my bike and giving me good advice. Highly recommend new or out of practice bikers that need help to come here.

Jamar: I personally don’t belive in begging as is against the word of my God. But a man who can notice when one is struggling and offer a helping hand is a good man and that’s exactly what these guys did for me. Now don’t go in there tryna haggle for lower prices based off this post. Just know these guys have a certain passion for what they do that most don’t. They’re the kind of people you should go out of your way to support. And if you’re lucky you’ll meet the shop dog she’s amazing lol.

Tan Tang: Been a client for years now. Took my bike in for a much needed tuneup and chain replacement. Josh was great and communication was smooth. Scheduling was easy and timing was quick. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bike or need work done to your bike.

Matthew Prochnow: The gentlemen at Bikesmith took incredible care of me, offering solidarity, good advice, and quick and effective service. 10/10 would recommend. I'll be back.

Steven Shuster: They took in my bike and not only fixed it the same day, they called me right back to say it was done

Huck Fish: The first and only bike shop worth going to in philly! 💪🏾

iiPro 2.0: First time Visiting and they are great! Love the environment!

Darryl Ceremsak: Professional friendly. Take all my bikes here

A P: I can't recommend this shop enough. Everyone I've met is super friendly and helpful. I bought a Cervelo Caledonia 5 earlier this year from the Philly location and had some concerns about how the bike fit me - I've been riding small fixed gear frames for years and this was my first properly fitting road bike - and the shop offered to do a quick bike fit at their mainline location to help put my mind at ease. The bike has been fantastic and I just had it in the shop for a quick tune up which went great. Make sure to support this LBS!

Mario Crociata: Great service, honest people who know bikes. I've mostly been to Bikesmith for MTB related service, but would recommend for all bike and accessory needs.

Alexander Cohn: Great shop. Clean, stocked, and knowledgeable staff. Affordable too. One of the best shops in Philly.

Victor Barriga: Love them. They were quick and efficient. Great communication. Took care of my specialized

Raff C: Best bike shop in south Philly if not in the whole city. These guys absolutely FLY through their repairs. Lots of integrity here, they won’t do anything that you haven’t asked for or that hasn’t been communicated that you need. All in all, great shop, great people and very fair prices!

Greg Z: Great shop, great shop owner, and great employees. Knowledgeable, friendly, and very fair.Support this local bike shop. They are 10 Stars out of 5!!!Thanks for keeping me rolling ( :

Meg Retz: Great experience here today. Fixed a flat for my 7 year old daughter and tweaked the breaks for my 8 year old. Took about ten minutes and total cost was $25. My kids were ecstatic and as a busy parent, the fast, easy fix for two broken bikes was amazing.

Fairmount Bicycles: what do users think?

Sarah Coughlin:

John Edward Morales Naranjo:

Dan Tuffy:

Morah Gruen:

Stephanie Hunter: I had been having issues with my bike and took it to four different bike shops in the city who only gave me condescending advice yet couldnt fix my problem. Fairmount bicycles was the fifth place i went to and the only place that actually listened to me and fixed my bike!! So happy i can finally ride it again.

Frances Gray: I rented a gravel bike from Fairmount bicycles recently and could not be more pleased with the experience. The bike was great, the pickup went smoothly and they stayed open late for me to return the bike after my train was delayed. I highly recommend them for your next rental/purchase.

Musa Nsereko: Able to rent high end bike for 30 mile ride on CVT and VFNP

Julianna Ko: Super happy with my mountain bike rental! Their rental price is reasonable and they are located close to some nice trails in Fairmount. Would definitely rent from them again.

Bobby “Adventure e bike Co”: My go to shop when I’m in Philadelphia. Everyone at Fairmount are the coolest.🤙

Jordan Z Groff: Great service will definitely be going back for all bike related needs.Called about a tune up and repairs on a Thursday evening and got it back Friday afternoon. The staff I worked with were friendly and knowledgeable. I felt well taken care of. Thank you!

Dianne Heck: Absolutely fantastic experience with Fairmount Bicycles! From the lighthearted response of "Just bring 'em back!" when we asked if we could take the rented bikes back to NJ, to the courtesy seat bag of tubes, the customer service was unexpectedly friendly and top quality! Further, the mountain bikes they supplied were far better than we expected! We did not have a single mechanical problem taking the bikes through the sandy trails in NJ's Pine Barrens. You can be confident renting from Fairmount Bicycles!

tammy Burrell: Very nice staff and bike

Trudy Wilson: Excellent, friendly fast service. The bikes were perfect for a day sightseeing in Philly!! Highly reccommended.

Lene Pettersen: Great place, great people, great bikes - and a great suggestion of where to ride! I will definitely rent a roadbike from Fairmount bicycles if I'm ever in Philly again.

Ryan: This place is great! They were knowledgeable and the pricing was very fair.

John and Linda Elgart: We recently moved to the area, and it was important to us to find our local bike shop. We found it in Germantown Bicycle Supply! We are long time racers and bicycle aficionados. We can do a lot of our own work but we needed a shop for the modern, exotic things. I had a hydraulic disc brake that needed service, and John had a disc brake cable that needed to be routed through the frame. Matt at Germantown did all that, plus some gratis extra adjustments, and a bonus shiny cleaning. And all this in one day. We had fun hanging out for a while, geeking out on bike talk. Great work, great vibe, we found our home.

Jesse Parker Braxton: Great quality work, friendly and knowledgeable service, good prices.

Katrina Kopeloff: Very nice people who enjoy problem solving and fixing your bike.

John Longacre: Great service. Nice guys.

Ian Amidon: Been going here for several years, they always do a good job!

Fritz: Quick turnaround and quality work/attention to detail.

Quanniesha Pierre-Louis: Great customer service and courteous speedy service. Staff fixed my son's toddler bike in 30 minutes. Highly recommend for any bike repair.

Jeff Garis: These guys are great! Knowledgeable, honest, fair, reasonable prices.

Ellen Mitchell: Matt and Jake are both very responsive to my needs. They take excellent care of my bicycles. I would highly recommend their shop.

Dennis Cohen: This is wear I take my bikes. Repairs and maintenance needs are explained for anyone to understand. The work is done well and in a timely manner, and their prices are very reasonable. That’s why I only come here.

Thom Berg: Super friendly and easy to work with.

Bell's Bike Shop: what do users think?

Thomas D: and all three shops turned me away because I didn't buy my bike from them, because it wasn't a Chinese knockoff e-bikes. Speaking of the same person owns all three of the local e-bike shops, so they charge anything they want and customers are basically stuck

Peter: This Bike shop is the best by far I've been to in the city!!! Brian and the rest of the staff are super cool and awesome, very helpful, never let me down once and are my go to place for any issues i have with bikes!!!

Sam Gottesman: Can't speak to the eBay/Amazon sales experience other reviewers have posted, but my friend purchased an SE bike online and had it shipped to the shop. We were expecting to go pick up a box, but instead Bells had built it up professionally for us and we super kind and attentive when we came in. Would definitely recommend based on our experience.

Bridget Sykes: The staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly! They were helpful in getting my bike assembled and getting anti theft bolts on the wheels. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy or service a bike!!

Lee Ensminger: I had a great experience at Bell's Bike Shop! We travel by boat, and our bikes are our only land transportation. While exploring Philadelphia, I ran over something that punctured my front tire. The next morning, I looked online for a bike shop, and called Bell's. I spoke with Anthony, who checked and then confirmed they had the right size tube for my bike, and that I could bring it right over and they would help me. When I arrived, I was greeted immediately and asked how they could help. I mentioned my conversation with Anthony, and they immediately took the bike into the shop area. They also mentioned there was a protective belt that could be installed that almost completely eliminates tread punctures. What a great idea, seeing how easily I punctured what I thought was a pretty tough tire [turned out it wasn't that tough]. These folks knew I wasn't from the area, probably wouldn't be a regular customer, and indeed, it's likely they'll never see me again, because we're traveling, and yet they treated me like I was one of their best regular customers! But wait, it gets better! Karen had come along with me on her RAD bike. One of the guys asked how we liked it. About a month ago, the cadence sensor, a plastic ring of magnets that senses your pedaling motion and controls the hub motor, broke. It was just slipping around the crank hub and not sending any signals to the motor. We had no real hope of getting it fixed until we were back home and had time to source a part. Taking a look at it, he said he thought they might have something that would work from a donor bike they had in the back. They took her bike into the shop, and violà, IT was fixed as well! I can't say enough nice things about our treatment at Bell's Bike Shop! We left with perfectly functioning bikes and continued our tour of Philadelphia. If we were residents, these folks would definitely be our bike source.

Richard Roussin: I initially ordered a pair of Continental tires from Bell's through Amazon. Something went wrong somewhere and I finally received a refund instead of the very much needed tires.I then called the shop directly and talked with Chuck who was not only apologetic but very polite and helpful. He reshipped a pair of new tires on the spot.I don't call that good service, I call that excellent customer service. Thanks Bell's Bike, you've made yourself a life customer.Richard Roussin

Keswick Cycle University City: what do users think?

Owen Lingley: Stopped by for a random bolt and he dug thru and found two. Great service

David Harries: Swung by after work to look for some rim tape after mine rolled and I had a few flats. Mechanic helped me quickly, professionally, and dug a role of Velox out of the back. I will be back.

Jason W: and accessories but did not. In that moment that fact coupled with the excellent work they had done cemented them as my new shop

Joseph Marshall: I was traveling from out of town with a small group of people, using a vehicle that we had just recently installed a roof rack for storing a bicycle that we were transporting. Unfortunately, the bike had been really overtightened to the roof rack and so we could not remove it from the roof, even while using wrenches and pliers; this only chipped paint on a plastic knob that was on the rack.I was able to find Tune-up bike shop, and my father and I went there. When we got there, the lights were a bit dim, but I saw several welcoming signs. Upon getting inside, I spoke with a lady at the front desk, but she had to take a quick phone call. My father and I then were then attended to by a man who looked at the rack and told us that he would get someone with more expertise dealing with ceiling racks. The owner of the shop then came out and was very helpful in trying to get the rack unstuck. Ultimately though, it took the manager of the location to get the rack off, much to the appreciation of my father and I. The rack had had us very confused, as we did not use the cam lock properly and had instead overtightened it. Fortunately, the bike shop had provided several sets of hands to all provide help to us out-of-towners.When we went back in, the first man to help us put the front wheel of the bike back on, as the front wheel had to be taken off to use the tire rack. He then pumped up the tires and after a much-deserved tip, we were on our way.Throughout the process, everyone we spoke to was very courteous, polite and wanted to help, including the owner and manager, who both ended up being the most experienced with tire racks. It was a great experience and if I ever find myself with another bike problem in Philadelphia, I will certainly know where to go!

FRONT HOUSE: Pop in and see any one of these talented bike techs. Great job, great prices, quick turn around!! Couldn’t be happier

Jack Doe: First experience with Tune Up. Brought my bike in with a flat and needed a new lock. They changed the flat super quick and helped me pick the right lock for me. I dealt with a mechanic named Larry and he was great. Would highly recommend.
