Matthew Kelly: One of the things I miss most about being in Philly is being able to walk down to JD's shop and get a recommendation for a book I had no idea existed but would end up loving. The selection of books is great and the community events like the book club are a great way to get into comics and meet new friendly people.
Joseph Meyers: The best. Really fun stuff and here, and the dude knows what the heck is up. I say I like “this”, he says oh try “this”. I say what about “this” and he explains everything without spoilers because he cares about my adventure into the comics. The dude knows what’s up.

Dani Goodman-Levy: My only issue was that the printer was out of paper when I arrived at Amalgam, so my documents had not printed although I had placed the order an hour earlier. The staff was very lovely and immediately refilled the paper tray when I asked, but I had to then wait 5-10 minutes while my documents printed, which is what I had been trying to avoid since I was in a rush. The staff let me borrow a stapler, which was very nice. My suggestion is to have a staff member more diligently monitoring the printer, refilling the paper, etc.

Michele Perni: A cool comic book shop with a great variety of Comics, from DC and Marvel to more vintage Star Wars and Star Trek. Great to visit if you want to discover new series.
HISASHI OGUCHI: I used to come here during my college years around ‘98-‘00 and found great discoveries. The shop today looks exactly the same and kept the laser focus on comic books, to which I give kudos because lately shops like this carry way too many merch and toys and other noise that take up so much space.

Cap, has numerous comic related events throughout the year and it gives the vibes of a more intimate comic convention. If you are looking for a great local comic shop I could not recommend OSC enough...Oh and parts of the film Unbreakable and Mr. Glass was filmed here!
