JHS: I used to attend classes here regularly but it has been a couple years since I've been back. I recently sat in on a class that permitted guests on the final night and I have to say the class hosted by Yann was really excellent. I consider myself a French speaker but was happy to learn a few things from him, but moreover his overall manner of instruction created a great energy for the class and flow of information and interaction between the students and him. I highly recommend Alliance Francaise and if you're lucky enough to attend the class with Yann. I'm sure all the instructors are great.

Jenny Graham-Hougah: I absolutely recommend Alliance Française to anyone interested in learning French. I've taken the 10 week sessions, one-day immersion classes, cultural events and one-off classes based on a theme. Each one has its benefit, but the 10 week class is best for learning the language and the immersion day is great for thinking in French. Plus the instructors use various teaching techniques to help us. Zoom classes during covid are good- but definitely looking forward to getting back in the classroom!

That was nearly two months ago. I have been taking art history workshops, grammar bootcamps, and private tutoring...all remotely. My confidence and skills are increasing each week.

Эта школа научила моих детей безумному объему знаний за короткий промежуток времени. Они как минимум на 1-2 года опережают «типичную» учебную программу. Как будто полдня недостаточно быть на французском языке, их учат игре на скрипке без дополнительной оплаты! Меня поражает то, что мой трехлетний ребенок теперь может писать свое имя, выполнять простые математические вычисления, знает все времена года и дни на французском языке, а также цифры от 1 до 26 на французском языке в случайном порядке, алфавит на английском и французском языках в случайном порядке. и знает несколько зрительных слов. Я мог бы продолжать и говорить о двух других моих детях. Однако главный посыл заключается в том, что Французский институт коммуникации — это отличная школа с прекрасными преподавателями и операторами программы, которые страстно любят обучать наших детей. Nicole Nixon: is a professional businessman who cares about the children's education and well being. He and his pre-school staff provide an environment that is clean, conducive to learning, safe and loving. There is frequent communication so that parents are well aware of school events, homework, etc. As for the camp, it is well run. Counselors are carefully selected and everyday is carefully planned. Back up plans are in place to for situations that can not be controlled such as the weather. I have two kids that are eight years apart and they are both happy. Neither wants to go anywhere else. My only problem is that when they are too old to go there, I have nowhere that I would be as comfortable with to send them to.Lee does not put up with nonsense. He's honest, trustworthy and respectable.I am absolutely floored by some of the negative reviews posted here. My best guess is that they confused French Communication Institute and Camp Voyages with another school and camp. The negative reviews are so far from the truth.If you are considering either the school or the camp, I would encourage you to check it out for yourself. As they say, the proof is in the pudding! I highly recommend both the camp and the pre-school. I've dealt with many camps and schools before finding this one. Once I found this one, my search was over. I highly recommend them!
Stephanie Logan: Anyone looking for the truth will know that it is a FACT that The French Communication Institute is and has always been alive and thriving-- never closed nor "fly-by-night". This unique and exceptional institute has highly dedicated educators and experienced well qualified leadership. Their Camp Voyages program is one unlike any other in the city! What other camp provides weekly photo & video footage of all trips and activities for parents to treasure forever? No babysitting program here! It's full of well organized, fun and safe trips. The children are laughing, smiling and learning while enjoying summers to remember forever! If anyone has any doubt, they should simply call or stop by to see for themselves. The proof is in the thriving enrollment, pleased parents, supportive community and most importantly happy children! Whoever wrote those reviews did not attempt to investigate the truth before participating in mindless hearsay. Shame on them!

Trust and mutual respect could be the motto of this school. We now have a third child ... and cannot wait until she reaches 2 1/2 years to start going there!!!!Please, double check facts before writting such a nasty review ... my 2 children have been attending this school since last year, and we LOVE it! Their pre-school bilingual program is great ... and I am already looking forward to signing my children up for the after school program next year, and the summer camps. Can't find a better bilingual school in Philly!!!! And I know what I am talking about, since my husband and I are both from France.
Gayle Hodgins: I have known and dealt with Lee Corley and French Communication Institute since September 2000. At that time I was desperately looking for an afterschool program for my eldest daughter. Upon learning of Mr. Corley’s program I immediately signed up and was not disappointed. I found Mr. Lee, as he is known, to be strict but fun, exacting but loving. So much so that my daughter not only went through her entire school career attending French Communication Institutes’ after-school program but she also attended Mr. Corley’s summer camp program, Camp Voyages, every year until she aged out. In fact, last summer at age 18 she became a counselor at Camp Voyages.I also have a ten year old daughter, who is following right in her sister’s footsteps. She has attended French Communication’s after school since her first day of kindergarten and this summer will be her fifth or sixth happy year at Camp Voyages.I have trusted both of my children to Mr. Corley’s care for thirteen years with never a thought to their safety and well-being. I cannot imagine a higher recommendation.As for the reviewer 3 YEARS AGO who said the pre-school skipped out, they actually moved to another location literally around the corner. Not sure what's up with that reviewer.Highly recommend.

Kendrick Smith: Went midweek for lunch. Reservations are highly recommended. The place was packed by 12:30pm. French bistro style food with an American twist on dishes. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, so just ask about dishes and recommendations, but everything was amazing. Very cool and laid-back feel to this place. Reasonable for the quality of food but expect $30 for lunch and $50+ for dinner.
Kristen B: Great food and excellent service! I didn't think I'd need a reservation for my party of two at 1:00 PM on a Friday, but the restaurant was packed, so I was glad I had reserved a table. Our server Kashi was attentive and helpful while giving us plenty of space to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. My only regret was not buying a loaf of bread on the way out!

Aldo Romagnoli: Staff was friendly, questions were answered, a person helped us get to neurology. Staff all along the way made it a pleasant experience. Our doctor was thorough and thoughtful in evaluation. One minor ding would be parking was bad. Give yourself extra extra time. I would suggest they close lots when full. We met so many kind and thoughtful people though.

Jeffrey Walcott: Getting my hair cut today at Jean Madeline Aveda institute was a really nice experience! In the end I just opted for a trim but my stylist/student Jess spent some time talking me thru some options and made me feel comfortable with what we settled on. The space is clean and calm. Ty to Jess and everyone else at the institute. 10/10 highly Reccomended this experience.

She took time to understand what I wanted and communicated with me throughout the process to make sure I liked how it turned out.Appointments here are longer than at traditional salons because students are really focused on practicing proper technique. I don't mind the extra time since their services cost a fraction of what you'll pay at a salon. The students work really hard so if you're happy with your experience, I know they are so appreciative when customers tip :
